Sallie mae debt being paid by insurance; what does that mean?

Ask Sallie Mae what it means -they put it on there... if the debt is secured by the govt then any funds you receive from teh govt can be withheld for a student loan in default... very late does not neccessarily mean in default. OR you can get sallie mae's correspondance address and request an answer in writing (cc your congressman on it) it will get properly looked into and answeered
