Does joined up writing lose you any marks in english GCSE?

im sick of my english telling me to join up my writing cos i write 10 times slower D8 and if i do, do joined up writing i probably wont even finish the GCSE and FAIL and if i do it separate letters i don't know if i ill lose any marks D8 so i wanna know if i should or shouldn't do joined up writing for GCSE
