the part befor Yuan rang i believe means that as easy as his wisdom is to process in his own mind his students dont seem to get it possibly because of there ignorance and he fears if they find a new master that gives them what they want they will follow him but learn nothing and that he is frustrated because he believes he knows some universal truth that the divine would understand easily
