Is it safe to use a magnetic screwdriver on electronics?

I recently bought a pen screwdriver with four interchangeable bits (it's sweet). However, the bits are magnetically charged. I'm pretty sure they have a low gauss rating since they barely stick to each other, but I was just wondering, is it safe to use the bits on electronic devices such as cell phones or computers? For example, can I use it to swap out my hard drive or inverter board?
