Reimbursement for military move?

My husband I just did our first move, navy moved our stuff and we got dla. He was told to turn in all receipts for travel, gas, food and lodging for the 3 days it took to drive here and for him back home. As far as I know we received our per diem up front, so do we now get reimbursed for all the travel expenses here and back on top of that? He was told that we get paid back for everything even if we already received per diem. Does anyone know about this and if that's accurate? That's like 1000 bucks we'd get back if that's true. Thanks!
