Please help!! is this illegal?

ok, i am wondering if having and carrying around a switchblade knife around is illegal. i live in the state of Georgia and really want one to keep on me because i live in a rough area and cant move at the moment. if they are legal, whats the requirements for having one, and were can i buy 1, do they have to be a certain length? like less than 6 inches? plz help me. thank you.... and for all the ppl out there that like to be smart es and tell me to just move or give me some other suggestions on keeping myself safe, keep it to yourself plz. thx!
