Evolutionists: where are all the intermediate fossils…?

A woodpecker has a huge tongue that goes all the way round the back of its head and onto its left nostril. Can anybody show me fossil evidence of the intermediate species that evolved from into the woodpecker we see today? Where is all this evidence evolutionists speak of?
